OUR STORY

Snapper Services was founded by Infratil in 2006 and then acquired by ICM Mobility Group in 2019. This opened up a new world of opportunity for the Snapper Services team.

Snapper ticketing uncovered an unmet need

In working with transit authorities locally and internationally, the Snapper team began to realise: 

  • Public transit organisations are overwhelmed by data they have but can’t make sense of. 
  • Equally – the data they could analyse didn’t reconcile with the real-world experience they were seeing – how could they trust it and make decisions with confidence? 
  • In parallel reporting and compliance requirements were continuously changing as was the need to make data-based business and planning decisions. 

Meeting this need was taking an enormous amount of time, resources and investment. Often it was put in the “too hard” basket. 

There had to be a better way.  

Enter Mosaiq Transit Intelligence Suite

Snapper Services expanded its team and development focus to create an easy-to-use platform for transit authorities and operators to understand and improve the performance of their networks – Mosaiq.

Starting with internal customers in 2019, Mosaiq has rapidly expanded through sister company Vix Technology. In 2024 the partner platform expanded further with HaydenAI, Transit, AWS and Optibus coming on board – creating a truly global footprint to really make a difference to the way the world of transport works.
